Elisabetta Simonetta

Dr. Elisabetta Simonetta is a Senior Research Manager with extensive experience in research strategy, academic and partnership-based research development, international scientific cooperation, and the structuring of multidisciplinary research programmes and consortia.

Holding a PhD in Humanities from Sorbonne Nouvelle University (Paris), she began her career as a researcher and lecturer in higher education, conducting research and teaching in the humanities during and following her doctoral studies. Her academic and professional trajectory across Italy, France, and Switzerland has shaped a strong commitment to interdisciplinary dialogue, international collaboration, and the circulation of knowledge across institutions and countries.

Over the course of her career, she has progressively specialized in the strategic development and management of research and research-based training programmes, supporting researchers and institutions in the design and implementation of ambitious scientific initiatives, international partnerships, and competitive national and European funding opportunities. Her expertise spans doctoral and postdoctoral programmes, research partnerships, consortium building, research infrastructures, and large-scale collaborative projects.

At Université PSL (Paris Sciences & Lettres), she served as Director of Research and the Doctoral College, overseeing research support, doctoral strategy, international partnerships, and the coordination of national and European funding initiatives. She subsequently served as Director of Scientific Life and Partnerships at Campus Condorcet (EPCC), where she contributed to the development of scientific communities, collaborative research ecosystems, international partnerships, and the strategic support and development of research infrastructures.

At Adolphe de Rothschild Fondation Hospital, she serves as Senior Research Manager within the TITAN laboratory, supporting the strategic development, coordination, and implementation of innovative interdisciplinary research programmes at the intersection of neuroscience, neurotechnology, artificial intelligence, and translational medicine. In this role, she contributes to research strategy, partnership development, funding opportunities, and the structuring of collaborative scientific initiatives. She currently leads the Digital Brain Project, an international initiative dedicated to advancing collaborative neuroscience research and large-scale data generation.
